EUGENIO DELLA CHIARA

Eugenio Della Chiara, born in Pesaro in 1990, began studying guitar aged 8 years old, under the guidance of Prof. Simona Barzotti. In 2002, he encountered the Maestro Piero Bonaguri, whose lessons he followed at the San Filippo Scuola Grande in Faenza. In 2009, he graduated with his classical degree with honours. In 2010, he graduated in guitar with full honours at the Gioachino Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro, under the instruction of Maestro Giuseppe Ficara.
He twice earnt (in 2008 and 2010) scholarships awarded by the Rossini Foundation. He continued his classical studies at the Catholic University of Milan, where he obtained a Bachelor Degree in Classics and a Masters Degree in Modern Philology, with a thesis on Rossini’s Cenerentola  awarded honours. He is a dedicatee of new music by Carlo Galante, Davide Anzaghi, Paolo Ugoletti, Pippo Molino, Marco Reghezza, Alessandro Spazzoli and Roberto Tagliamacco.
His concert activities have led him to hold solo recitals in prestigious concert halls, including the Pedrotti Auditorium in Pesaro, theAuditorium of the Vangi Museum in Mishima, theCariplo Foundation Auditorium in Milan, theSternberg Palace Auditorum in Vienna, playing for important musical associations, such as the Rossini Opera Festival, laVerdi and Italian Cultural Institutes.
He discography is also significant. His first disk, Through the ages, which was released by Phoenix Classics, received public and critical acclaim. The review Musica found on his records “an impeccable technique and an enviable attention to sound, so much so as to create genuine admiration for his meticulous attention to detail and the elegance ofhisapproach…his certainty and brilliant virtuosity, the variety of his dynamics and the sweetness and softeness of his timbre sound”.
RossiniMania – Produced by Discantica with the sponsorship of the Rossini Opera Festival – is focused on compositions that he dedicates in tribute to opera composers from Pesaro, all presented in premiere recording.
